"N.C. Supreme Court decides Republicans do not have to make public lawyers' redistricting email,"

"The state Supreme Court ruled Friday that Republican legislators do not have to make public email from lawyers who helped them draw new voting districts.Democrats, civil rights groups and nonprofits suing over redistricting plans sought email exchanges between lawyers and legislators as they reconfigured House, Senate and congressional districts. The new districts were used in the November 2012 elections, when Republicans expanded their majorities in the state House and Senate and won three congressional seats that had been held by Democrats.
Democrats maintain the redistricting plans are unconstitutional because they pack African-American voters into districts. They sought the email to support their lawsuit. Republicans argue the plans are legal and that the email is covered by attorney-client privilege.
The case now goes back to a panel of three Superior Court judges. ..."

I am shocked, SHOCKED to learn that our GOP legislators refuse to be transparent, and that the GOP state supreme court aids and abets their opacity!

The GOP is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the People's Republic of China, using enough racism and homophobia to get votes from the people they're screwing.
