Hungry? There are still tickets available for the Swannanoa Business Association’s “Taste of Swannanoa,” which takes place on Friday, Jan. 28 at 7 p.m.

Note: The event has changed venues. Taste of Swannanoa will now be held at the Warren Wilson Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall, not at the Beacon Event Hall as originally planned, to provide access for the handicapped.

The Taste of Swannanoa will include food from the following establishments:

Auntie M’s Pies
Anne's Custom Catering
Beacon Bistro
Black Mountain Chocolate
Chowtime Pizza
Doghouse and Dairy Bar
Everyone Cooks
Eye Scream Parlour
Fresh as Can Bee Catering
Moments Cafe and Patisserie
Okie Dokie's Smokehouse
Seasonal School of Culinary Arts

Two prominent chefs, Michael Gentry (Everyone Cooks) and, pictured above, Susi Gott Séguret (Seasonal School of Culinary Arts), will also be present.

Music will be provided by Joe Hallock and the Flat Creek Boys.

Tickets are $15 (seniors $10, children under 12 are $7) and are available at the Doghouse and Dairy Bar, Chowtime Pizza, via email at burhoej@gmail.com, or at 828.337.4718 or 686-3841. Tickets will be sold at the door for $18 until they run out.

All proceeds go to a Swannanoa charity. Diners are encouraged to bring a warm coat, food, child's backpack or personal hygiene product for donation.
