Ruth’s Chris Steak House Donates to Mission Children’s Hospital
ASHEVILLE, NC (June 21, 2013) – In a small ceremony on June 20th, Ruth’s Chris Steak House in Historic Biltmore Village presented a check for $2,938 to the Mission Foundation for Mission Children’s Hospital. The donation came from the proceeds of a promotion Ruth’s Chris ran earlier this year offering $78 gift cards for $48. The promotion was in celebration of Ruth’s Chris 48th Anniversary. As part of the promotion, the restaurant pledged to give $1 for every gift card sold.
The check was presented by co-owner of Ruth’s Chris Steak House Biltmore Bill Bell, who is also Chairman Emeritus of Biltmore Property Group. The check was presented to Bruce Thorsen, President of the Mission Foundation, and Leigh Ruhl, Director of Development at the Mission Foundation. Also in attendance were Gabe Fore, General Manager of Ruth’s Chris Steak House Biltmore, as well as Tara Horan, Child Life Development Manager, Angela Anderson, Development Associate at Mission, Lauri Nichols, Special Events Manager for the Mission Foundation, and Neil Gurney, Vice President of Strategic Advancement for Mission.
