The pair explored both the islands and interiors of Alaska to see some of the most interesting animals on the planet. They had many animal encounters, “from the steller sea lions and seabird cliffs of St. Paul in the Pribilof to displaying bluethroats in Nome, herds of musk ox on the tundra and all four eider species.” Thompson even captured an image of a polar bear (pictured).
