Local roots rockers Kyle Sorenson and Horse Ghost is kind of a trio (Sorenson on vocals and guitar, David Erickson on bass and Chris Henry on drums) that sometimes includes a number of other members. But the central vision is Sorenson's and "follows a workingman’s ideology that is just as comfortable around a campfire as it is on a big stage," according to the band's bio. The front man has worked as a truck driver and a farmer, as well as in behind the scenes and supporting roles for fellow musicians. His own musical project will be in the spotlight at at Jack of the Wood on Tuesday, Aug. 20 at 9 p.m. No cover. http://www.jackofthewood.com.
