Brian Eno podcast, part 2

Brian Eno podcast, part 2-attachment0

“I really like art when it’s magic.”

Artist/composer and Moogfest presenter Brian Eno describes his exhibit, 77 Million Paintings, and talks about the idea of control versus surrender in the randomization of images and sound in his work. (5:30 minutes.)

“I’m not a surfer but I always like the idea of surfing because it seems to be this constant negotiation of control and surrender.”

“It’s why we like art, because we say it takes us somewhere. It’s why we like sex, it’s why we like drugs and it’s why we like religion. To me, they’re all ways of surrendering.”
