Mills River megapuzzle party comes together Jan. 8-10

MILLS RIVER, N.C. – It doesn’t matter if it’s cold or snowy this weekend. Members and friends of the Mills River Presbyterian Church see the forecast as puzzling.  The church’s congregation is celebrating National Puzzle Month in a unique way—- with a four-day puzzle marathon.

Scheduled from January 8-11, 2010, members and friends of the Mills River Presbyterian Church will join together to assemble the World’s Largest Jigsaw Puzzle in the church’s Fellowship Hall. With 24,000 pieces and an anticipated finished size of 14.5 feet long by 5 feet tall, the puzzle will prove a challenge for even the most diehard puzzle fan.

“Everyone is invited to stop by for a few minutes or a few hours to help assemble the puzzle,” says congregation member Larry Sunday. “It doesn’t matter what the weather is outside—- this weekend the puzzle action will heat up as we work to set a hall of fame record for the World’s Largest Puzzle.”

The puzzle kickoff is at 7pm on Friday, January 8, 2010 at the Mills River Presbyterian Church at 10 Presbyterian Church Road in Mills River (off of Banner Farm Road). The public is invited to stop by at any time to help with (or view) the massive jigsaw puzzle, entitled: “LIFE: The Great Challenge.”

For more information, call the church at 891-7101. To view the puzzle on line,  visit .
