Donors support Main Street enhancements in Hendersonville
From the Community Foundation of Henderson County:

Hendersonville, N.C., March 13, 2103: Randy Romeo, Board Chair of the Community Foundation of Henderson County recently presented a check to the Mayor and City Council Members for the City of Hendersonville to support Main Street Enhancements.

Chair Romeo said, “Much of our community, from all points of our county, connects on Hendersonville’s Main Street. It is also a place where many people from outside of our area learn about our community for the first time. It was not surprising to us that Main Street, Hendersonville is one of six finalists in the “People’s Choice” award for “Great Main Streets” in North Carolina.”
The fountain and enhancements to Main Street help offer an open environment for gathering plus public access to art in the creation of a welcoming community symbol. The Community Foundation opened a fund to assist with the Main Street enhancements, especially with regard to helping build a fountain on Main Street. This fund remains open for anyone to make a personal contribution.
To date the Community Foundation’s general community fund, matched with an award by the Perry N Rudnick Endowment have each contributed $10,000 toward this effort. Making a current total of $20,000! The fund will remain open through the end of June for any additional contributions.
The Mission of the Community Foundation of Henderson County is “Helping people who care make lasting contributions to causes that matter.” The organizations current areas of focus are guided by:

Challenges and opportunities afforded by growth in Henderson County
Poverty and its effects on Henderson County
Access to Health and Human Services, and
Public Access to the Arts
Individuals, families and organizations have established funds at the Community Foundation of Henderson County to carry out their charitable giving, now and in the future. To learn more, visit http://www.CFHCforever.org.
