Seven Sows Bourbon and Larder releases its menu
If you're looking for some food for your imagination, check out the Seven Sows Bourbon and Larder menu, which was released over the weekend. You can't order from it until the restaurant opens this spring, but in the meantime, the intriguing menu items should provide food for fantasy. Ponder the pork and oyster pie with puff pastry dough, braised hog cheek barbecue, potlikker-trotter jus and collard greens.

The restaurant is preparing to open on Biltmore Avenue next to Mamacita's. For more information, check out this article from December.

See below for a few more menu items to consider. For the full menu, see the Seven Sows website.

Buttermilk hushpuppy basket with hot pimento cheese

Anson Mills farro salad with charcoal rutabagas, hickory-smoked mushrooms, hen-pecked mustard greens, Asher Blue, root vegetable jus

Pig head meatloaf with apple chutney, pickled mustard seeds, Southern Appalachia sorghum

Braised NC mountain goat with Foxfire Brunswick stew, Appalachian corn pone

Pecan pie float with pecan pie, cinnamon-bourbon ice cream, Abita root beer
