39th Annual Hey Day Fall Family Festival

Press release from Friends of the WNC Nature Center:

Enjoy a fall day with a visit to the Hey Day Fall Family Festival at the WNC Nature Center on Oct. 10, 2015.

Hey Day is the largest WNC Nature Center event of the year and celebrates the environment, culture, and community of western North Carolina. Hey Day will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This year’s festival will feature games, arts and crafts, educational animal programs, live music, local food vendors, and a wide variety of exciting wildlife.

The Friends of the WNC Nature Center’s fall raffle kicks off the same day with great items donated by local merchants.

Admission to Hey Day is included in general admission, which ranges from $5.95 to $10.95. Children 2 years old and younger get in free.  Members of the Friends of the WNC Nature Center receive free entry to Hey Day.

Visitors during Hey Day or any other time have the opportunity to continue their support of the Center by purchasing a Friends of the WNC Nature Center membership. Among other benefits, members receive unlimited visits (including to special Event Days) for one year. Membership is also available online.

Hey Day 2015 would not be possible without the help of these generous donors: The Benson Family, Blue Ridge Hops, Karpen Steel Custom Doors & Frames, Jennifer Lanning,

Judy Larson, Sue Ellen Myers, Herbert and Kathy Patrick, Kathy Pell, Martha and Robert Pierce, Starks Financial Group, White Oak Financial Management and R.E.A.C.H./Animal Veterinary Specialists.
