Asheville Mayor Esther Manheimer and every City Council member denounced the upcoming Go Topless rally in an open letter Wednesday to residents, business owners and visitors.
“We believe that it does nothing to help our community and we recognize it disappoints and embarrasses many of our citizens and visitors,” the letter said. “We wish it were not happening.”
