A Legacy of Song – The Reuter Center Singers to perform hits by John Denver and The Carpenters

PRESS RELEASE:

The Reuter Center Singers spring concerts, A Legacy of Song, featuring hits by John Denver and The Carpenters, will take place at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, April 29-30, at the Reuter Center on the UNC Asheville campus. Both concerts are free and open to the public; donations are welcome.

The Reuter Center Singers are the community chorus based at OLLI, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at UNC Asheville. The singers are directed by Chuck Taft and accompanied on the piano by Nora Vetro.

“Come experience with us the nostalgic memories that are a soundtrack of our lives,” said Bill Kantonen, a bass singer with the Reuter Center Singers. “It’s Yesterday Once More, and we are excited about presenting the musical legacy of The Carpenters and John Denver, harmonizing on songs like We’ve Only Just Begun, For All We Know, Annie’s Song, Rocky Mountain High and more. Come join us!”
