AC-T: A-B Tech head Hank Dunn to leave at end of year

Here’s an excerpt from the Asheville Citizen-Times article:

The president of Asheville-Buncombe Technical Community College will leave the school as of Jan. 1, the school announced Wednesday.

Hank Dunn began work at the school in March 2010. A school spokeswoman said Dunn was not terminated, but she and the chairman of the school’s Board of Trustees declined to say why Dunn is leaving.

Dunn helped win voter approval in 2011 of a special quarter-cent tax in Buncombe County to fund new buildings and renovations at the school, but his tenure also saw controversy. …

Dunn will receive a separation payment of $113,052, the equivalent of six months salary, the school said.
