AC-T: Asheville, region prep for winter storm

From the Asheville Citizen-Times:

Residents in the mountains and across North Carolina are preparing for what forecasters said could be a paralyzing winter storm.

Asheville area roads are in good shape this morning, as snow has not begun to fall in most areas of Western North Carolina. But the huge storm is still coming, reaching the NC-SC line by shortly before daybreak.

Snow is expected to begin this morning and intensify through the day, according to the National Weather Service. The Asheville area likely will get 8-10 inches, while some foothills counties could receive 10-12 inches. Far western counties could get 6-8 inches.
