AFD’s Fire Prevention Month kick off event Sunday at Sam’s Club

ASHEVILLE – October is recognized as National Fire Prevention Month and what better way to bring awareness then to attend AFD’s annual Fire Prevention Kick off Event! 

This year’s event will be held on September 28th at Sam’s Club from 12:00p.m.-3:00p.m.  The event will include fire trucks, AFD’s Haz-Mat truck and robot, the Asheville Police Department, Safekids, American Red Cross, YWCA, Brother Wolf, games, food and much more! 

The Asheville Fire Department will have several firefighters and fire Explorer’s who will be available to educate and answer questions regarding fire and life safety. Please bring the whole family to enjoy in the activities and to build relationships with your local firefighters and other local agencies.
