AIDS Memorial Quilt returns to Asheville, Nov. 24-Dec. 1

World AIDS Day Commemorated Dec. 1

The AIDS Memorial Quilt will be on display at the Renaissance Hotel, Nov. 24-Dec. 1, 10 a.m.-7 p.m. daily. The exhibit will showcase 20 blocks and 160 panels of the Quilt.

The opening night reception, Mon., Nov. 24, 6 – 8 p.m., will feature  a special message from Mike Smith, co-founder of the Names Project Foundation, as well as music by classical guitarist James Barr and a presentation of new Quilt panels created this year by WNCAP’s Quilting Group.

There will be programming throughout World AIDS Day, Mon., Dec. 1 , including a special appearance by Asheville diva Kat Williams.
