An Angel Christmas: Holiday open house at the Old Kentucky Home

Press release from the Thomas Wolfe Memorial State Historic Site:

From 9 am to 7 pm Saturday December 10th, Thomas Wolfe Memorial friends and volunteers will host an open house in the Old Kentucky Home. Children will be admitted free, adult admission is $5.00. The event includes craft activities for children, and an exhibition of angel wreaths on doors and angel figurines throughout the historic home. Individual crafters, florists, nurseries, garden clubs, created and donated wreaths for the event with angels used in the design as inspired by Wolfe’s best-known novel, Look Homeward, Angel. Wreaths will be available by silent auction during the open house to support future educational programs at the Wolfe Memorial. Contact Thomas Wolfe Memorial at 828-253-8304 or wolfememorial.com.
