Anam Cara Theatre Company seeks actors for Dante’s Itch an ensemble-created performance

Press release from Anam Cara Theatre Company:

Dante’s Itch will be a cast-devised theatrical piece on the experience of dealing with anxiety and depression. This will involve writing, editing, and workshopping in rehearsal. The final product will be a 60-minute abstract performance piece — a collage of words, movement, and more. Cast members must be willing to share personal anecdotes, experiences (their own or others), and opinions with each other. Dante’s Itch will be directed by Peter Lundblad.

To audition for Dante’s Itch, please bring a 3-5 minute piece on some aspect of dealing with your own / others experience with anxiety/depression. This could include movement, monologue, storytelling, etc. All are encouraged to audition, regardless of previous theatrical experience.

Email info@anamcaratheatre.org to sign up for an audition time slot. Walk-ins will be accepted, but priority on audition day will be given to those with appointments. Please also be prepared to list your availability from November 27-January 29.

Auditions are Monday, November 21-22 from 8pm-10pm at Toy Boat Community Art Space (101 Fairview Rd, AVL) both evenings.
