APD: pedestrian struck, dragged for several miles, dies

From the Asheville Police Department:

At 6:57 pm APD Officers were dispatched to a report of a pedestrian struck on Tunnel Road near the Blue Ridge Parkway. Initial reports are that the subject was possibly hit by more than one car and dragged from the scene. Subject was dragged for several miles to College Street near Charlotte St.

Investigators are still on scene and more details will be released as the investigation continues and after next of kin are notified.
