ART to operate partial holiday bus service Labor Day, Sept. 7

Asheville Regional Transit service routes and facilities will operate on a partial holiday schedule on Monday, Sept. 7. The Labor Day holiday is one of six holidays throughout the calendar year that ART offers service.

Please visit the ART Station on Coxe Avenue or go to www.ridetheart.com to obtain updated route schedules.

For these six holidays, ART operates holiday service on the following routes.

· N1 – Merrimon – UNCA – Lakeshore. Hours limited to 8 a.m.-5:59 p.m., operating on the same schedule as currently provided.

· N3 – Chamber – Hillcrest. Hours limited to 8:35 a.m.-5:59 p.m. With once an hour at :35 past the hour departure only, operating on the same schedule as currently provided.

· S3 – Asheland – McDowell- Biltmore Village- Hendersonville Road – Airport. Hours limited to 7:38 a.m.-6 p.m., operating on the same schedule except first trip starts at Airport & last trip ends at Airport.

· S4 – S. French Broad – Depot – Livingston Heights- A-B Tech. Hours limited to 8 a.m.-5:29 p.m. operating on the same schedule as currently provided.

· E1 – Tunnel – Asheville Mall – Swannanoa River Road – VA. Holiday hours limited to 8 a.m.-5:33 p.m. With once an hour on the hour departures only. Service provided as far as Walmart/Kohl’s. E1 will not serve the VA Hospital. All time points on inbound portion of route will change to follow the after 7 p.m. posted schedule times.

· E2 -Asheville Mall – Haw Creek – Tunnel Road. Holiday hours limited to 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m., with a schedule change so the route departs Station at :30 past the hour, once an hour.

· W1 – Hilliard – Clingman – Haywood – PVA – Deaverview Area. Hours limited to 8 a.m.-5:59 p.m., operating on the same schedule as currently provided.

· W3 – Patton – Goodwill. Hours limited to 8 a.m.-5:32 p.m., operating on the same schedule as currently provided.

· W5 – Patton – Emma. Hours limited to 8:30 a.m.–5:59 p.m., operating on the same schedule as currently provided.
