Asheville Art Museum Hosts Annual Urban Loft and Art Tour

ASHEVILLE — The Asheville Art Museum presents the “Urban Loft + Art Tour”, its annual tour of downtown Asheville’s most stunning art-filled lofts, on Thursday, October 6, 2016 starting at 4:30 p.m. During this popular event, guests are led on a walking tour that takes them into several lofts in the downtown area to learn about the unique art and architecture of each residence. After their tour, guests are invited to a reception at the Asheville Art Museum to enjoy beverages and light hors d’oeuvres from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Entertainment during the reception will be provided by some of Asheville’s beloved downtown buskers. (As always, tips are appreciated!)

Departing from the Museum entrance on the corner of Pack Square and Biltmore Avenue, timed walking tours begin at 4:30 p.m. and continue every 15 minutes thereafter until 6:30 p.m. The first tour, a low-impact tour modified to accommodate people with mobility concerns, begins at 4:30 p.m. Each walking tour lasts approximately 90 minutes.

At this year’s event, guests have the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a “stay-cation” in Asheville or an “away-cation” in Charlotte! Winner need not be present at the drawing to win. Each package features passes and tours to local museums, galleries and other fun activities, and includes a stay at a local hotel.
