From a press release:

The Asheville Board of Realtors presented Eblen Charities with a donation check in the amount of $3300 during the board’s annual meeting held Oct. 30, 2014 at the Doubletree Hotel. The money was raised during the annual Jean Ann Rogers Memorial Golf Tournament held in August and will be used to assist with expenses and needs of cancer patients and their families.

The golf tournament is a yearly fundraiser put on by the Asheville Board of Realtors to raise funds for cancer in honor of one of their own, Jean Ann Rogers, who passed from the disease. “We look forward to donating the proceeds of this tournament every year back to our local community, and partnering with Eblen to help distribute funds to those who need it most was the obvious choice,” said Asheville Board’s President Debra Marshall.

“It is wonderful to work with the Realtor’s Association and all their members in reaching out to those in need in our community during such difficult times. We are most fortunate to have a group such as the Asheville Board of Realtors whose outreach has touched so many lives throughout the years. It is an honor to be a part of their selfless service to our community.” Bill Murdock, CEO of Eblen Charities.

The date for the 2015 golf tournament has not been set, however will be held at the Country Club of Asheville sometime in late fall. If you are interested in being on the announcement list to participate in the next tournament, email board@abr-nc.com.
