Asheville Sister Cities presents “The Truth About Cinco de Mayo”

On Sunday May 4th, at 6pm, Asheville Sister Cities will present a short session on the activities of their two Mexican sister cities: Valladolid, and San Cristobal de las Casas. An exciting lecture, “the Truth About Cinco de Mayo,” will be given by Dr. Phylis Smith, Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences at Mars Hill University. Then, to make the evening more exciting, the lecture will be followed by the movie Cinco de Mayo – La Battalla.

Refreshments, a lot of great info and a movie – all for a suggested donation of $5! Profits from the evening will be put into the scholarship fund for the Mexican Committees.

The event will be held at the ASCI offices, 33 Page Avenue, Asheville. RSVP and reserve your seat by calling Karon Korp, Valladolid Chair, 828-254-4651, or by email:  karon@ashevillerealtygroup.com
