Asheville VA Hospital holding hot dog cookout to benefit Hospitalized Veterans
Charles George VA Medical Center, Asheville – Today, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., the Charles George VA Medical Center is holding a hot dog cookout that will benefit Veterans who are patients or residents in the medical center.
The cookout will be held outside the main entrance to the medical center, 1100 Tunnel Rd., Asheville.  All inpatients eat free.  Staff members, visitors and volunteers who bring an inpatient to lunch also get to eat free.  Everybody else will be asked for a $4 donation that will get them a hot dog, drink and chips.
A live band will provide music for the occasion.  Proceeds support the Unearmarked Account that helps provide for the needs of CGVAMC patients that otherwise are not covered in the VA budget.
