Asheville donates three times more to Obama campaign than Republican challengers

The Asheville Citizen-Times reported Asheville-area residents donated more to the Obama campaign than others. Former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum raised the least in WNC as of Jan. 31.

From the Asheville Citizen-Times:

Campaign finance records show Obama raised $116,979 from donors in the Asheville area through Jan. 31 — more than three times the sums raised by his two closest Republican challengers, Texas Rep. Ron Paul and former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.
