From a press release:
The 67th Asheville Holiday Parade, presented by Bojangles and produced by the Asheville Downtown Association (ADA), takes place Saturday, November 23 beginning at 11am. The parade theme is “A Star is Born” to honor the many talented dancers, painters, singers, actors and artists that perform in our community.
Parade attendees get to extend the day’s festivities at JingleFest held at Roger McGuire Green in Pack Square Park from 1 – 4 pm. The stage show, featuring special performances by dance and song groups from the parade, will entertain while everyone waits for Santa who will be on hand to meet, greet and have a photo taken. There will be inflatables for the kids as well.
Applications for parade entries are available online at ashevilleparade.org or by emailing email@example.com. Applications may be completed online but will not be valid until entry fee is received. All entries will be evaluated based on interpretation of theme, community spirit and contribution to the overall parade.
The prize structure will award to various categories such as school groups, dance teams and best handmade float.
