Asheville Yoga Center to host inversions workshop on June 29

Press release

From Asheville Yoga Center:

Mado Hesselink will share her knowledge of inversions during an afternoon workshop at Asheville Yoga Center on June 29, 2013. Inverted postures are powerful yoga poses with a multitude of benefits, including increased core strength, improved posture and circulation, and mood elevation. The workshop is accessible to all levels and pre-registration is strongly recommended.

Hesselink specializes in helping beginners get over their fears surrounding inversions. The workshop will also be beneficial to experienced inverters, who will obtain the tools needed to reach the next level. She will cover preparatory poses, modifications for different body types, and how to safely assist others in inversions. Participants in the program will also examine techniques for teaching inversions to others.

The instructor has been teaching yoga since 2005. She is “passionately committed to showing people how to make friends with their demons and live a life of purpose, wonder, and fun.” She firmly believes in yoga’s power to transform and heal and seeks to share these gifts with her students.

Asheville Yoga Center is committed to providing high-quality, heart-centered workshops, teacher trainings, and studio classes. The workshop will be held at their donation studio space at 239 S. Liberty Street in Asheville. For more information and to register, visit youryoga.com or call (828) 254-0380.
