Asheville Yoga Center to host weekend workshop about human anatomy and yoga

Press release

From Asheville Yoga Center:

ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA (June 7, 2013)—Asheville Yoga Center hosts “Beyond Basic Yoga Anatomy” with David Keil, June 21-23. The weekend workshop provides an in-depth study of yoga and anatomy and is appropriate for yoga instructors and serious students of yoga who want to take their knowledge of anatomy to the next level. While examining the way human anatomy functions and dysfunctions, Keil will train participants how to conduct postural analysis techniques in order to effectively “read” bodies. During the workshop, participants will practice applying these techniques in order to give more effective hands-on adjustments.

An expert in the field of Anatomy, Keil’s approach is informed by his work as a neuromuscular therapist, Ashtanga yoga practitioner, and former instructor of kinesiology at Miami’s Educating Hands School of Massage. He is known for his ability to make the complex and sometimes overwhelming subject of anatomy exciting and accessible. Pre-registration is required.
