Truck of missing Haywood County man found in South Carolina

On Monday, February 8, 2016 Jeffery Scott Turner of Canton, North Carolina was reported missing by his family. Scott was last seen around 11am Monday driving his ‘87 black Toyota pickup truck.

Wednesday, February 10, 2016​­­—Scott Turner’s ‘87 black Toyota pickup truck with North Carolina tags ZSL­-1573 was found Tuesday afternoon February 9, 2016 near the Chattooga River in Mountain Rest South Carolina by local authorities.

Authorities along with members of Scott Turner’s family are continuing to search the area Wednesday, February 10, 2016 for Scott Turner. Turner is a 57­-year-­old white male approximately 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs about 205 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts, please contact Haywood County Sheriff’s Department at (828) 452­-6666.

We ask that you keep Scott and his family in your prayers and ask for respect for the family’s privacy at this difficult time.
