Blossman Services begins construction on National Autogas Research and Technology Center

Press Release

From Blossman Services:

Blossman Services, Inc. (BSI), a subsidiary of The Blossman Companies, has begun construction on its new Autogas Research and Technology Center located in Asheville, NC.

Once completed the world-class center will focus on the testing and development of propane autogas systems and will also provide vehicle technician training.
BSI is the authorized distributor of PRINS autogas technologies in the U.S., housing a large stock of PRINS propane conversion systems and a complete parts inventory. BSI will develop alternative fuel systems in Asheville and provide follow up support for conversion centers throughout the United States. The AutoGas Research and Technology Center is headed by BSI President Jessie Johnson.

PRINS awarded Alliance AutoGas, through BSI, U.S. distribution rights in January 2013. In addition to its line of Vapor Sequential Injection equipment, PRINS has a complete line of liquid injection systems, direct injection systems and diesel blend technologies. PRINS Direct LiquiMax system was recognized with the Automechanika Innovation award and the Green Directory award in September 2012.

“The Autogas Research and Technology Center is really another great step forward for Alliance Autogas and PRINS,” says Bart van Aerle, CEO of PRINS. “It gives the organization the ability to implement new technologies faster, therewith bringing new EPA certified applications to the U.S. market more quickly. We are very pleased with this long term vision and investment of Blossman Services, Inc.”

“It is important for PRINS to have R&D close to the market in order to give the best customer service to this market. With Alliance AutoGas and Blossman Services’ national vehicle development and autogas programs training center, we are pleased that drivers can fully benefit the new technology, the much cleaner and more affordable fuel without losing performance and drivability,” says Van Aerle.

“We continue to strengthen our position as the nation’s leader in propane autogas by providing autogas systems to run on the most common engine platforms used by fleets,” adds Stuart Weidie, President and CEO of Blossman Gas and Alliance AutoGas. “Working with a great company like PRINS in conjunction with Blossman Services facilitates Alliance’s efforts in securing a wide range of EPA certifications to meet the demands of fleet customers across America. Alliance AutoGas is giving every fleet in America the opportunity to see direct and immediate cost savings with this clean, American-made fuel at a fraction of the cost of installation of natural gas. Our AutoGas Research and Technology Center will be available to fleet managers and our Certified Conversion Centers across the country who will participate in training and educational opportunities we intend to provide. This will allow the Alliance Autogas network to perform quality conversions and provide the maintenance necessary to keep vehicles running at peak performance,” notes Weidie.
The Autogas Research and Technology Center is expecting to open in the spring of 2014.
