Board-Certified Hospitalist Joins Park Ridge Health
Hendersonville, N.C. (July 2, 2014)—With over 30 years of providing patient care, William Frank McKemie, Jr., M.D., physician board-certified in internal medicine and pediatrics, is now serving patients at Park Ridge Health as a hospitalist. In his role, Dr. McKemie will focus on the generalized medical care of hospitalized patients, which includes patient care, education, research, and leadership relating to hospital medicine.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to work together with such exceptional ancillary staff and consulting staff for the coordinated care of patients at Park Ridge Health,” Dr. McKemie says.
Dr. McKemie earned his medical degree from Medical College of Georgia School of Medicine and completed residencies at both Emory University and University of Cincinnati. He ran a private practice in Cynthiana, Ky., for 19 years before founding Licking Valley Internal Medicine and Pediatrics with an associate, where he practiced for 13 years. Dr. McKemie served as attending physician at Harrison Memorial Hospital and Nicholas County Hospital for 32 years, as well as medical director and volunteer physician at a local indigent health care clinic. He also served as voluntary clinical faculty at the University of Kentucky.
