Buncombe GOP urges people to attend Feb.  23 water forum

Below is information on the public forum regarding important issues in the Buncombe County area. Republicans are continually lacking representation at these public forums and we encourage you to come out learn about the issues lending your voice to the solutions.

We must be active in the day to day issues dealing with Buncombe County and the City of Asheville. Please take the time to learn or we will continue to take a back seat on important issues affecting our area.

Public Forum with Water System Study Committee:

The Metropolitan Sewerage/Water System Committee is holding their second hearing on Thursday, February 23 at the WNC Ag Center in Fletcher. Public comment is invited throughout the day depending on your residency. The hearing will open for comment sign-up at 8:30. Arrive 30 minutes before your time block in order to sign up to speak. Each person will be given 3 minutes. Here is the schedule of who will be allowed to speak and when:

Agenda:
8:30-9 am: Sign Up
9-10: Elected Officials Speak
10-12: Asheville Residents Public Comment
12-1: Break
1-3: Buncombe County Residents Public Comment
3-4: Henderson County Residents Public Comment
4-5: Business Community Public Comment
