Call for entries for the 2017 ArtScape Banner Project

The ArtScape Hendersonville Committee, the Art League of Henderson County, the Arts Council and Downtown Hendersonville are putting out a call for entries for the 2017 ArtScape Banner Project!

Henderson county artists and artisans, 18 years and older, are invited to participate in this juried art competition. Selected artwork will be reproduced on 40 banners that will then hang on posts on Hendersonville’s Main Street and Avenues for a year beginning in April of 2017.

Important dates to remember:

SUBMISSIONS DUE: JAN. 15, 2017
ARTIST NOTIFIED: FEB. 1, 2017

A guest juror invited by The Arts Council will select 40 images. Only Henderson County artists are eligible and may submit up to three (3) high-resolution images (300 dpi) of current work for consideration.

Applications for submission can be downloaded from the ACofHC.org website and mailed, with $30.00 fee made payable to the: Art League of Hendersonville County/ArtScape.

Deliver or mail your submission package: CD, application and check to:

The artwork will be professionally photographed and digitally transferred directly onto 36 x 24” vinyl banners, with an image size of approximately 24 x 24. The artist’s work and name will appear on both sides of the banners along with that of the sponsor of the banner. Banners will be installed in April 2017 and will remain on display through March 2018.

All original art will be displayed and available for sale at an opening show in April to be held at Art MoB Studio and Art on 4th Gallery.
