Farm Burger, the pioneering grass-fed and farm- sourced burger restaurant based in Decatur, Georgia, is set to open this spring in Asheville at 10 Patton Ave. in the historic Leader Building. This is Farm Burger’s fourth location, and its first outside of Georgia.

“Farm Burger is excited to bring Asheville eaters a truly unique, principled, and economic pasture-based dining experience, and feels that it has a kindred spirit in the Asheville community with its strong historic commitment to local and sustainable agricultural,” says partner and farmer Jason Mann.

Beef and pork will be supplied through a collaboration between Moonshine Meats, the pasture-based cooperative founded by Mann, and a diverse set of local producers including community favorite Hickory Nut Gap Farm. Both Farm Burger and Moonshine Meats look forward to working with North Carolina farmers to source as much food as possible.

Farm Burger’s farm driven menu is a dynamic expression of seasonality and culinary whimsy. Aside from traditional burger toppings, creative toppings include heirloom peaches and local goat cheese, pickled beets and oxtail marmalade. The menu also features traditional Southern favorites such as fried okra and collard greens, and their signature chicken pot pie fritters.

Farm Burger will offer a diverse lunch and dinner menu featuring its pasture-raised meat products, seasonal vegetarian options, as well as some exciting gluten-free and vegan options. Farm Burger will offer seasonal milkshakes made from the sweetest local cream, house made sodas, local kombucha, and root beer on tap. Farm Burger’s beer program will tap into the best of Asheville’s brewing culture by offering small batch brews from a variety of established and upcoming producers.
