City of Asheville and Land of Sky REALTORS host second housing fair

Press release from The City of Asheville and Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS:

The City of Asheville and Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS® announce the 2nd Annual 2016 Asheville Housing Fair, to take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. October 8th at the Stephens Lee Center, 30 George Washington Carver Ave. The event is free and open to the public and will guide consumers and home providers through a myriad of questions surrounding buying, lending, property management, credit repair and more.

Representatives from more than a dozen nonprofit organizations and associations will be on site to provide information and one-on-one assistance to those seeking to learn more about affordable housing options.

A series of workshops will be held throughout the event.
The workshop schedule includes:
– Renter’s Rights
– Lending Tools for a Challenging Market
– Managing Affordable Rentals
– Veterans’ Panel Discussion
– ADU’s: Design to Renting
– Bond Referendum Discussion
– Missing Middle Housing Self-Guided Tour
Attendees can also grab a map for the self-guided tour of tiny homes, ADUs, and cottages in our area. The “Missing Middle Housing Self-Guided Tour” is a driving tour with two open houses along the way and lasts from 12pm – 4pm the same day.

The Asheville Housing Fair is  family friendly with a playground is onsite and a free lunch provided by the Land of the Sky Association of REALTORS®.
