City of Asheville, faith communities hold “Unity Gathering” in Pack Square Park to address recent violence

An assembly to acknowledge loss and the need for healing the Asheville Community and all people affected by violence

 

Organized By:

  • IMA (Interdenominational Ministerial Alliance)
  • Inter-Faith Community
  • Asheville City Council

Mayor Esther Manheimer shares the following message:

“This event is an opportunity for our community to come together in calm, prayer and patience in the wake of the officer involved shooting over the July 4th weekend.  Please keep everyone involved in this tragic event in your thoughts and prayers. Join us Tuesday evening at 8:00 p.m. in Pack Square Park for a time of reflection.  Our community is not without great challenges, and we can work to heal and work for change through discussion, action and unity.”
