City encourages folks to ride the bus during Bele Chere

From the press release from the City of Asheville:

ASHEVILLE – During Bele Chere, downtown parking is limited. City residents and visitors are encouraged to consider riding the ART (Asheville Redefines Transit). Users can plan a trip at www.ridetheart.com or by visiting http://maps.google.com on their desktop or mobile phone’s browser. The cost is $2 roundtrip. Please have exact change.

The ART will detour some routes around the Bele Chere closure beginning Thursday, July 28 at 5:29 p.m. through the close of business Saturday, July 30. The ART Station is one-block from Bele Chere.

As part of the City of Asheville’s continuing goal to provide quality service, all route times and destinations will remain the same, except as routes enter and exit downtown Asheville. The following routes will be affected:

N – Montford Ave– Downtown – Charlotte St.
N1- Merrimon Ave. – Lakeshore Rd.
N2- Merrimon Ave. – Beaverdam Rd.
N3 – Hillcrest Apts.
E1 – South Tunnel Rd. – Swannanoa River Rd. – VA
E2 – Tunnel Rd.- Haw Creek
W3 – Patton Ave. – Goodwill
W4 – Patton Ave – New Leicester Hwy
170 – Warren Wilson College – Black Mountain
