City seeks Asheville school board candidates

Here’s an excerpt from the Asheville Citizen-Times article:

ASHEVILLE — Three of five seats on the Asheville City Schools Board of Education will be up for grabs this month as the city searches for applicants to replace at least two members leaving the board.

The district will accept applications through Feb. 25, before Asheville City Council will interview and appoint members in late March. Two seats are being vacated by board chairman Gene Bell and vice chairman Al Whitesides, who both completed two four-year terms, and one is held by Peggy Dalman, who is eligible for reappointment.
