“Cold Mountain Gypsy Artworks” opens Dec. 17 at Flood Gallery

Flood Fine Art Center Exhibits Cold Mountain Gypsy Artworks Opening December 17th, 2017

Scarlett Swann, known as the artist ColdMountainGypsy will be exhibiting her “outsider art” in the Flood Fine Art Center, opening Saturday December 17th, located at 2160 Hwy 70 near Swannanoa, from 6pm to 9pm.

ColdMountainGypsy, who lives in Haywood County, has a unique folkloric art style that has been described as raw. Outsider, Folk Art, or Brute, and is inspired by poetry, folk stories and dreams.

“My influences are many,,” explains Swann, “in short: Pappa (GOD) my mother, my father, my husband, my brother, daughter, my fur babies, Cold Mountain, Forests, Poetry, Comics, the stars and the heavens, creatures great and small, angels, folk stories… even my stories or dreams. I write and dream lots. All of my works have stories, and I really hope they inspire happiness, wonder, a sense of magic, peace, contentment, folly, whimsy, brevity, and courage.”

The ColdMountain Gypsy’s art works will be on display until January 30th 2017. This exhibit is free and open to the public. For more information see www.floodgallery.org or call 828-273-3332
