Construction will hinder access to Franklin VA Clinic Monday to July 3

Press release from the Charles George VA Medical Center:

Veterans who will be driving to the VA Franklin Community Based Outpatient Clinic at 647 Wayah St., Franklin, will have to adjust their driving routes starting Monday and continuing through July 3. The North Carolina Department of Transportation (DOT) announced that Wayah St. will be closed to through traffic due to a construction project that will block both lanes at times.
Clinic staff members say that the best alternative routes to the Clinic are from Depot Street or Wells Grove Road. There may be construction activity and equipment on those roads, but the route is shorter.
Staff members from the Charles George VA Medical Center in Asheville are calling Veterans who have appointments during the construction project to inform them of possible delays.
DOT workers plan to have all equipment cleared by 3 p.m., July 3. If the project has not been finished by then, construction will resume on July 8. For more information on the Franklin Clinic go to http://www.asheville.va.gov/locations/franklin.asp
