Country/western music and dance benefit scheduled to raise money for MS

PRESS RELEASE: On Sunday, September 11th from 3pm-7pm, Blue Ghost Brewing, 128 Underwood Rd., Fletcher, N.C., will be the new venue of Annie Garic’s annual fundraising event to benefit The National MS Society. This year’s event is a country/western hoedown tribute to Country/Western’s Old Time legends to benefit The National MS Society.
The evening’s highlights will include: a live Country/Western band backing local performers; an introductory Country/Western swing dance lesson; photo opportunities; and a raffle of goods and services. Generous portions of proceeds from Blue Ghost Brewing drink sales and a Circle B Ranch Barbecue food sales for the evening will also benefit The National MS Society.
The National MS Society supports more research and serves more people with MS than any other voluntary MS organization in the world. Although most people are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, MS also occurs in young children and adolescents. This chronic, often disabling, disease affects the central nervous system and lasts a lifetime. Symptoms may be mild, such as numbness in the limbs, or severe enough to cause blindness or complete paralysis. Disease progress, severity, and specific symptoms in any individual cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are giving hope to those affected by MS.
The National MS Society is a driving force of MS research and treatment to stop disease progression, restore function, and end MS forever.
