David Joe Miller presents “Stories for the Season!” with Sherry Lovett, Dec. 8

David Joe Miller Presents another WORD show “STORIES FOR THE SEASON!”, featuring storyteller/producer, David Joe Miller and storyteller/ballad singer, Sherry Lovett. Thursday December 8th, 6:45pm, at Pack Memorial Library in downtown Asheville on Haywood St. The storytelling show is offered FREE and is sponsored by the Buncombe County Friends of the Library. Doors will open at 6:15 for seating.

David Joe Miller is the former staff storyteller for the National Storytelling Association in Jonesborough, TN. He founded the Jonesborough Storytellers Guild in 1994 and it remains the oldest, continuous story guild in the nation. His past audiences have included Disney executives, World Bank, The Smithsonian, The Library of Congress, Former Vice President, Al Gore, The Nature Conservancy and numerous Fortune 500 corporations around the country. He has also told stories in hundreds of schools in libraries since 1989. Currently David Joe is the executive producer of David Joe Miller Presents and continues to tell stories and offer narrative consulting to small businesses and major corporations alike.

Sherry Lovett lives in Little Switzerland where she and her husband manage Wildacres Artist Retreat Center. She is a former middle school teacher and has been telling stories and singing mountain ballads for several years now. She’s appears at schools, libraries and festivals throughout the region and is the director of the Toe River Storytelling Festival.
