Downright plays the Sol Bar, Dec. 4

PRESS RELEASE:

Who: Downright
When: December 4, 2015
Where: New Mountain Sol Bar, Asheville NC

Downright closed out Friday night with a super-funky-get-down-shake-your-booty jam session! The entire crowd was moving and grooving with smiles all around! Just when we thought “this party can’t be topped,” members of Sidewalk Chalk, Wildman Steve and a cast of other musicians hopped on stage with Downright for an awesome musical collaboration. Sadly the night had to come to an end, but this crowd would have happily danced all night. Can’t wait to do again, Downright! ~ Jamie Glass (Producer of CukoRakko Music Festival)

“I heard a lot about Downright recently, but had not ever seen them live. They have the sound of a 90s rock band, but they mix it up and jam. Those guys have some serious potential. Two hours into an energy-filled set, they were still bringing up new musicians to join in. They did major justice to the phrase “super jam.” ~ Jordan Kirkland (Live and Listen)

What a complete honor it has been for Downright to have headlined CukoRakko Music & Arts Festival Fallfest for the last two years. The music that is Downright delivers an extremely energetic monster funk sound but at the same time captivates ones soul. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to experience Downright in a live setting where the element of surprise is always a factor. ~Greg Entrekin (Co-Founder- Julia Blue Entertainment Group, LLC.)

“Our music is written with a live audience in mind,” says Lewis. “It’s beat driven rock combined with funk, synthpop and psychedelia. We want our audience to enjoy what they hear as well as what they see on stage.” – Steve Lewis, Downright

Downright has long been one of the southeast’s favorite bands. Led by musicians Steve Lewis and Matthew Devine, Downright continues to explore new sonic ground as well as develop an intensely engaging and interactive stage show.
