Eblen Charities invites community to participate in Tools for Schools drive

Press release

From Eblen Charities:

Summer is winding down which means thousands of students will again be filing through the hallways of schools all across our community. Refreshed, students and teachers will be excited and anxious to embark on another school year.

Many, however, may find their book bags, back packs and classroom supply closets empty when they reach for pencils and notebooks.

Unfortunately, because of the current economy, school supply budgets in Western North Carolina schools have been cut. The effects of the cuts and lack of proper supplies go far beyond the classroom as the burden not only falls on the students, teachers and schools, but on every parent as well.

As you shop for groceries or school supplies for your own children in the coming days, pick up some extras and take them to participating Ingles locations on Thursday, August 8th.
