Enka-Candler Business Association will host Sept. 9 event

PRESS RELEASE

Growing momentum in Enka-Candler Business Association

Less than a year after installing a new welcome sign from Asheville into the Enka-Candler community, the Enka-Candler Business Association (ECBA) is eyeing its next big project.  The group of approximately 20 active businesses is planning a Business Community Gathering.  The event will be Tuesday, Sept. 9, from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m., in the Haynes Conference Center on the A-B Tech, Enka Campus.

The Business Community Gathering is a free event, open to any business operating in the Enka-Candler community.  The ECBA estimates there are a few hundred small businesses nestled in the community.  The gathering will be an opportunity to network and learn more about the economic climate in western part of Buncombe County.  Guest speakers will be Jill Sparks, executive director of The Business Acceleration Site in Enka and David King, Buncombe County Commissioner.

Michael Sanders, association president, states, “the ECBA has a unified voice regarding infrastructure, development, and related business matters.  This voice needs is powerful and can shape policy.”

The Enka-Candler Business Association is a 50-year-old organization aimed at improving and sustaining the growing business environment in our area.   For more information on the group, contact Michael Sanders at (828) 665-2320 or visithttps://www.facebook.com/EnkaCandlerBusinessAssoc.
