Erwin High School Family Night Nov. 21

Here’s the press release from Buncombe County schools:

Erwin High School will host a free entertaining and informational Family Night on Thursday evening, November 21 in the school’s cafeteria from 5:15 – 7:00 pm. Parents are encouraged to bring a “potluck” dish to share, with the school providing drinks, pizza, a scavenger hunt and fun!

An important part of the evening will be a presentation entitled “Raising the Bar: Changing Test Scores,” which will help parents and students better understand recently released test scores and how changes in instruction will better prepare young people for a rapidly changing world. Parents and students will also learn how to access student attendance, grades and more through the new Home Base Portal. Spanish and Russian interpretation will be provided.

Attendees are invited to stay for a school talent show beginning at 7:00 pm—tickets will be $5 at the door.

For more information call Erwin High School at 232-4251.
