Lisa Nance has a background in painting and illustration and has been showing her work in Asheville since 2001. Most recently, you can see her art hung bar-front at the Mothlight. Her latest endeavors include full illustration work  for a comic book and a film. Lisa will be presenting new landscapes, a composition of eerie and ghost-like forms using pen and ink and gouache.

During the entirety of the evening, music will be performed by Distances. Comprised of Ross Gentry and Chelsea Hall, a baby grand piano will be played and it’s notes fed into loops. The original composition is self-described as barnhouse dirges from the underworld.

WHEN: Opening night 7 – 10 pm, Saturday May 23rd, at the Asheville Loft Gallery, 52 Broadway St. Suite 3B.

Open to the public. Donations. Artwork will be for sale.
