Folk ‘Shindig’ held today during SoCon half-time in Grove Arcade

From the Folk Heritage Committee:

The Folk Heritage Committee, which produces the annual events Shindig on the Green and the Mountain Dance and Folk Festival, announces that it will present a mini-Shindig on the Green during the Southern Conference (SoCon) OverTime event at the Grove Arcade, this Friday, March 6th, 2015 from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. This event is free and open to the public.

Line-up:

6:30 The Stoney Creek Boys

7:20 Carol Rifkin and Friends

7:45 Midnight Plowboys

8:10 Peg Twisters

8:35 The Buckner Family

9:00 Crooked Pine

The Master of Ceremonies for the mini-Shindig is Glenn Bannerman, and the sound engineer is Jamie Soesbee.

The SoCon OverTime event at the Grove Arcade is a welcome party and a pep rally for the Southern Conference Men’s & Women’s Basketball Championships and Wrestling Championships, taking place March 5-9 in Asheville.
