Free shoulder screening to be offered at MedWest-Harris on March 29

Sylva, N.C. – MedWest physical therapy will offer a free shoulder screening from 2-3 p.m. Thursday, March 29th in the rehabilitation services department at MedWest-Harris. The screen will be conducted by Grant Shanks, PT, a licensed physical therapist. Through the screen, the therapist is able to provide recommendations and next-step treatment options.

MedWest Rehabilitation Services include orthopedic manual physical therapy, occupational therapy, aquatic therapy, hand rehabilitation, speech-language pathology services, FCE (functional capacity evaluations) and occupational rehabilitation, continence and pelvic dysfunction therapy, sports medicine, spine care, balance and vestibular therapy, comprehensive wound care, and orthotic and foot care. Staff includes doctors of physical therapy, physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, athletic trainers, physical therapy assistants, clinical psychologist and certified wound care specialists.
