Full Circle Farm Sanctuary to hold vegan bake sale, May 2

Full Circle Farm Sanctuary will host a vegan bake sale with sweet and savory items at the French Broad Food Co-op on Saturday, May 2, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., in conjunction with the Worldwide Vegan Bake Sale (in which any group can participate). Proceeds benefit Full Circle, a nonprofit, volunteer-run sanctuary for farmed animals, which also promotes veganism.

“We plan to offer an even wider selection of mouth-watering delights this year, including some gluten-free and sugar-free options for those on restricted diets,” reads the event’s facebook page. “A few of the items we will be offering are coconut lemon bundt cake slices, one whole coconut lemon bundt cake, black bean brownies (gluten free), raw, refined sugar-free carrot cake cupcakes, sugar free/gluten-free oatmeal cookies, peanut butter cookies, lavender-lemon cupcakes, cherry-almond scones, chocolate-peanut butter no-bake cookies...and much more!”

Proceeds will help Full Circle expand its facility “in order to make much more room for animals in need of rescue.”
